The Welcome to the Leake County School District where we Rise to the Challenge for our students! The Leake County School District is a rural school system with an approximate enrollment of 2400 students. The Leake County School District offers a comprehensive instructional program for students located on five campuses. These five campuses' locations are: three campuses located within the city limits of Carthage and two campuses located in Walnut Grove. The District’s mission is to provide a high quality education that will increase the learning of all students. The Leake County School District encourages a high-quality education that is both nurturing and challenging while advocating positive attitudes and respect. Leake County School District's goal is to graduate self-sufficient, self-disciplined learners who succeed in life. This philosophy is the shared responsibility of the students, parents, teachers, other school staff, the board of education, and the community.
